I've been running the RC for a few days now without a single issue thus far. drivers, apps, games, things that vista wouldn't even touch are working in 7 flawlessly.

I've got high hopes for 7. but XP will stick around for years to come regardless of how things turn out for 7.

I personally think this is better than Vista but I have yet to try it myself. I'll just wait until this becomes bug-free!

While doing a re-format of my old pc, my vendor did suggest to install windows 7 and I was surely pretty impressed with the performance of the demo version.

I am waiting for little more time to gauge its stability and more positive reviews...after which I am definite to try it out....
Will be bidding good-bye to XP....after a long while!

no offense or anything but you can't just say windows 7 will come out on august based on those conclusions. you can call it an estimate or something but you can't say for sure since you don't have a valid source

    -----Taken from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx -----

Here's what you need to have:
Internet access (to download Windows 7 RC and get updates)

A PC with these system requirements:

    1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

    1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)

    16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)

DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

    -----------------------------

I hope you have better luck than me downloading it. My download is stuck on 99% and has not budged for 2 days

I have heard many feedbacks and 95% of them are positive :) I'm waiting to see if Windows 7 is worth to spend the money on it. This might be a second windows that I spend money to buy legit license since Windows XP.

I dont like the windows 7 demo as i seen on youtube. I know they got a lot of features that put on windows 7 but then im still not satisfied because i think, for me it was like a version of windows vista itself..

I think i might still use windows XP cause i like it a lot with simplicity features.

It's almost same as Vista. Except for the fact that it would be more beneficial to end user than what Vista is in many ways !
