windows 7 os is better than windows vista and it is agreed by almost all reviewers. Initial sales data showing that window 7 is selling better than windows vista. what is ur opinion abt it?
My son works for a major PC retailer and says sales of Windows 7 are enormous compared to Vista. The question is whether it's worth a Vista user upgrading?
Yet PC sales and corporate sales are down. These reported high sales are of the boxed sales which are not as important.
I sure hope it's really better. Vista has some cool features and all but overall it's driving me batty.
i have been using windows 7 ultimate for few weeks and it works very very excellent for me. although my com already 3 years old, but it still works excellent and run smoothly, faster than vista home premium 2x. what i can say is, wonderful. but... license price is a bit high. still feeling hurt when i paid for it. lol
LOL - yes, I saw that price tag and wasn't too thrilled. Considering a new desk top - still running XP on mine because my laptops are Vista and I dislike it so much but this bugger is getting old, too although I did add some memory. Maybe I'll give upgrading a try though. You said yours is about 3 years old and so is my desktop so maybe it'll be worth while. Thanks for the info.
I believe the high sales is because hardly anyone liked Vista so when Windows 7 came along which proved to be better everyone wanted it.
i have windows 7 on a dualboot on my mac...i really like the look of it and i find myself using it more than i do os x because of my programs
No, but it's becoming unstable. Crashing, software conficts, etc. getting annoying and I'm restoring more frequently than I should have to...
Well that's the thing - none. I haven't added or removed anything for some time but the darned thing is acting odd. I crash - screen will just go blank for no apparent reason and then it reboots on its own. Pain in the butt when you're in the middle of something and lose it all. It's also making "groaning" noises. Sounds like that's coming from the hard drive.
I didn't upgrade from xp to vista nor was I ready to buy a new pc at the time just to have it. Xp did and still does do everything I need it to do. However my xp computer is getting old and is no match for the multi-core cpu's out there that are standard now. For me it's time for a new computer that happens to come with win7. I need the power, memory, hd, etc. part more than I need the operating system, but I'll take that too. There were a lot of people that didn't upgrade to Vista, they stuck with XP. It could be a lot of these people like myself, are getting tired of their old slowing 8 year old xp computer and are ready now. So if new computers are part of the statistics this might be a factor.
Now we've gotten to the point of my questions. Upgrading to Windows7 gains you nothing and XP is not to blame.
Its simply because people who were not happy with Vista are purchasing it as well as the one who were using XP are eager to use a good OS. - Digital -
