Please note that processor is higher then 1.6 ghz and 1GB RAM then it should work on laptops. I have tried on 1.3 ghz desktop with 512 MB RAM. So trying it is the best option.
You can get by running it on 1 gig. I have used it and it works fine. A lot of it boils down to how you are going to use the laptop. I also have Win7 running on a Dell Latitude 2100 netbook. I love it, performance is fine.
Are there any issues with Windows 7? I'm satisfied with Win XP SP2. Recently I've got a new PC so I just want to take suggestions from you.
If you laptop is built for Vista, then you can install Windows 7 without any problem. But I suggest you to upgrade to at least 2GB of RAM for much better experience. Laptop' RAM are quite cheap these day. - Dynashox -
1gb of RAM is ok,but you should have 2gb to run it .i have 3gb and it's ok,but it only windows it takes 1gb ram
Hi There Runs fine with 1 GB but at todays memory prices, adding another 1 GB stick shouldnt be a problem. Regards
I wish I have 1gb RAM also, Can't upgrade so better stick to my Xp my friends advice me to just stick to XP if the specs is not that high.
A quick question guys... my laptop system type is x64-based. I currently have win vista premium but will like to upgrade to windows 7. Is it possible to install a 32bits windows 7 on my laptop or will it cause a compatibility issue?
It works fine even when I have only 1 GB of RAM. Also, I have XP installed along with it. - Mr.President -
