For everyone who has upgraded... (i'm still a little afraid to do so due to all the other forums i'm seeing horror stories in...) 1. has anyone had a RECENT issue with the license key's (other forums have noted that it reports invalid or stolen keys)? 2. is it recommended to do a clean install (and by that...) i mean a clean install of the whole hard drive, past programs etc... or just of the OS deleting Vista? (FYI I find their poster size directions a little overwhelming and not very 'to the point'.) Terry
Windows 7 runs fine on my HP DV6000se AMD Turion x2 1.00GB DDR2 Memory. I also have a SD Card with ReadyBoost activated.
Im using Windows 7 on a 1GB and it works just fine without no problem a huge difference from vista i can assure you that it will run alot smoother then vista does on a 1gb
Yes, Yeah sure. Even I run win7 on 1gb Ram desktop. But the harddisk space for virtual memory must be free.. then it will work like a butter.
i have even installed win7 on a 512MB ram for a fren with a old IBM laptop. it pulled well almost the same speed as XP. 1GB RAM Is just good.. although if you plan to use heavyweight softwares like adobe suite or to watch HDTV you need atleast 2GB. RAM is cheap than asking your mind to cope with it.
1 GB of RAM will work well with Windows 7. My old laptop had 1 GB of RAM that ran on Vista had no problems, and still no problems when I upgraded it to Windows 7.
It's a joke, get a sense of humor. There's enough replies in the thread and I'm not just going to copy what others have said. Yugo ,
1 GB is very enough for windows 7, win7 very very different from vista, it not eat much memori, running fast like XP
