    No need to wait. Have broadband and you can download it now and use it free until March.

    Granted thats a release candidate but there hasn't been much features added. Good for a look until the final stable release is out (just make sure you use a separate drive or partition from your main OS.)

    I do not like trying out beta or RC versions, especially for an OS! I would wait for the full launch and good reviews from friends before jumping on its band wagon. :)
    Hopefully, they would not take too longer a time, to kill the excitement! :eek:

    I'm waiting to see if there is a special "upgrade from XP" price. The biggest insult is to by a machine now, pay extra for a downgrade from Vista to XP, then pay again for an upgrade from XP to Win7.

    All of this insanity is because M$ produced an OS called Vista that was bigger than XP, slower, and very annoying with User Account Control. Besides that, Vista didn't include the new file system that it was supposed to.

    Let's hope that Win7 is done right the first time.

    err... RC != RTM

    umm what?
    where did you get that?

    Microsoft has already announced pricing for Windows 7 as well as the upgrades. You CAN buy 7 at a discounted price provided that your have a legit Windows XP license.

    Yes, and i think windows 7 will be a great release after the success of Xp and failure of Vista.
    Aside that im really looking forward to buy "Family Pack version" which can be used for 3 PC's at home.

    I'm sure the RTm is even better but WOW! even in RC this thing is as smooth as ice. Installed it yesterday and everything works perfectly even voice control. What was most surprising was how well IE8 runs. I'm sure in benchmarks its slow compared to Chrome but it sure feels like its running with chrome speed

    Always wait about a year before installing a new release of windows but I will definitely be giving myself a christmas present this year.
