Windows 7 looks exciting. If it is really free for 3 months, I think it is worth to try.

Though I never installed or worked on Vista cause I haven't heard genuine positive responses from anyone. To my experience after long usage of Windows XP I really liked Windows 7 very much. Since a month or so I am using Windows 7 and I am much comfortable working around with this and looks much stable. I will recommend Windows 7.

Ihave been using win 7 evaluation copy (7100) for last 3 months.I must say that Im pretty happy with it.I even think it is better than xp pro.You cannot compare it with vista because vista is crap.My opinion only

Not worth it, it is too short. I am lucky my school has a deal with msdn so I have a full copy of Pro before it came out (i need to wait for the download for XP compatiblity thing to be out of RC though).

No offence to any Windows 7 likers, but the interface is extremely ugly, the OS is completely less stable than Vista, let alone XP.

That's a first... i think the OS is beautifully done. it ironed out all the annoyance of vista but still kept it's features.. i can also feel the difference in performance comparing windows 7 to windows vista.

I almost felt like saying 'Ain't everything better than Vista?', but I today is a good day. :) Think I'll try out Windows 7. Microsoft seems to have listened to the critique against Vista.

I luv Windows 7. This is indeed a good successor to XP. Vista is soon gonna get a place in museum.
