i just bought product key for 20$ from a trusted reseller... he gave me msdn key not an oem key... cheap i guess..
wow its really good to see the price..but unfortunately this gave me huge problem when i upgraded it to windows 7
lol so in the country where students could afford the orignal price they give it or discount and the countries which need it to be 30$ they sell it for such a high price.. Microsoft WTF
ok,. i was on the site and saw you can get this if your in canada too, http://www.microsoft.com/canada/win...?wt.mc_id=can_co-win7launch-en_vanity_student but its 40.00 still cheap lol. also i notice people were saying its only for US and Uk, here is a list of supported : Not a U.S. Student? Here’s where you can find your student offer for Windows 7: UK: http://www.microsoft.com/uk/education/studentoffer/default.aspx Canada (EN): http://www.windows.ca/studentoffer Canada (FR): http://www.windows.ca/fr/studentoffer France: http://www.windows7pourlesetudiants.fr Germany: http://www.Windows7fuerStudenten.de Australia: http://www.microsoft.com/australia/windows/offers/windows-7-student-upgrade.aspx Mexico: http://www.windows7paraestudiantes.com.mx Korea: http://www.microsoft.com/korea/windows/student hope this helps
Uses email address, for Australia you need an .edu.au email address or something similar. My old uni email address is still active, hence I'm in, but neither home nor professional fills my needs since I need the multi-lingual addons. So no $50AUD from me.
I heard for an additional $10 Bill Gates will come and install or upgrade your pc for you. Jk. I still can't believe they will give this to certain students for $30. Maybe they think students are poor and broke. Maybe if you are unemployed they will accept IOU's.
Plus it seems to be the upgrade, not a full fresh version, which sort of reduces the value, in australia anyway...
