Hello friends, I have a creative 5.1 channel system with a creative sound card (Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer). recently i have upgrade my pc xp to win 7 but now win 7 not supporting my creative sound card. while it's works on xp. what to do?? Thanks in advanced
when I went through a search I found the following. This may help you to find the problem. "Although Creative was slow to embrace 64bit drivers for the X-Fi lineup, most x64 architecture based operating systems are now supported. Microsoft Windows 7 includes basic driver support for many of the X-Fi series cards. Many of the X-Fi features however require the software applications provided by Creative in order to utilize the full capabilities of the hardware.[9] * Microsoft Windows 2000 (unofficially) * Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, 7 (32 & 64bit)"
I found there is still quite a few programs that do not support the 64 bit IE. Have to use the 32 bit IE.
When installing an X-Fi sound card in Windows 7, do not use the bundled CD if it is not certified for Windows 7 under its published minimum requirements. The CD is only compatible with the operating systems that are specified on the box when you purchase the card.
go to creative web site or other site then find the latest drive released for your sound card that support Windows 7 and vista.you can search it on Google with your sound cards model
