Hi. I currently have a website SEOAnalytic.com . I am developing a lot of tools on it and offer all of those tools for free and with no limitation to all webmasters. My website has started to recieve traffic more and more from search engines so i think it will become a popular one. I want to promote it in adwords, buy a better hosting and create a better design and CMS and services. But i dont have the money to . So i thought of selling links on my website on each of the tools page for about 2-5 $ a month. I want to know if the price is ok and if you were the possible interested person in buying links on my website, would you? And i also wanted to know if this is a good ideea or not. Thanks to all who are willing to help .
how much traffic are we talking here? the more traffic you recieve, the more you can potentially charge, but people will be reluctant to buy links on a site with limited traffic.
It's not a good idea to show your URL like this in a thread talking about selling links. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=58 - here you can get an idea about the prices
Exactly. You site could get penalized by Google for selling links. You want to stay under the radar if you have decided to sell links on your website. Good luck to you.
Ive wondered how does google know you are selling links? i know adding a ton of links over night, you will get penalized
Thanks for your anwsers. But i am spending a lot of time developing and maintaining tools this website (more than 6 hrs a day),for free, so i think i deserve a little recompense from it. I tried with adsense but it doesnt work. People who visit a seo website already know about what adsense represents, so they have little interest in clicking those ads. So link selling is the only solution i came up with. But, as i said i am not sure this is the only method i could monetize my website. And i thought of selling about 5, maximum 10 links on a page.
Ok, here's a tip. Shut down your site. SEO/Internet Marketing is a small niche and even if you become a big deal, there still isn't a ton of money in it. If you want a successful site, look at a different niche. SEO is WAY overcrowded.
If you are getting good traffic to your site than people would pay to be on it. But make sure they are no follow so Google can't see them
Thanks for your encouragement, but i wont shut down my website. I will continue developing it and people will appreciate that. I am currently working on another project that i think will give me a better possibility to make money, but time will say. @last post, actually i cannot hide backlinks from google if people pay me to put them on my pages. In fact they are paying to have their backlink on my page, so search engines could give a better position for their own pages. But thanks for your reply.
If you plan on selling links you better be more discrete about it that you right now. You are going to get caught really fast like this.
