Hello, I own WillFerrell dot net, which runs custom built video blogging software. The software is "semi-automatic", meaning it is integrated with the YouTube API to allow the owner to find and post videos from within the CMS, but does not automatically choose new videos. I am going to be selling the domain, with its custom CMS. I would very much appreciate your feedback as to what is a reasonable price for the domain, and how much value you think adding videos would bring to the domain. I've got too many sites right now, and if I am not going to be able to add a lot of value to the domain with more content, I'll probably just sell it off now. Thanks again!
For domain name alone it should be worth low $x,xxx IMO. Website valuations as you are aware depends on the revenue generated, maintenance involved, different streams of revenue involved, uniqueness etc. try dnscoopdot com for a ball park value.
Just the domain along, probably Low $xxx. In regards to site, it will also depend on the traffic & reveune.
Thanks for the responses, gentlemen. Chenzen: Thanks for the link to dnscoop - neat site. They valued it at 23 dollars, but I don't think it can appreciate the keyword. I would definitely sell this domain for low $x,xxx. htmlindex: Thanks for your estimate, I think the content on the domain now adds little value but could over time. If I find a buyer soon I think I'll sell this one off, otherwise I'll probably keep and develop it. Thanks again!
I've put WillFerrell()net up for sale along with 43 other domains here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=627731 Thanks for your appraisals, we'll see if the buyers agree!
