Announced here at dp in this thread, it looks like Yahoo's Adsense competitor will be out tomorrow. I've got a site or two in mind I plan to test Yahoo's program on...how about you?
Yes, I'll give it a try. I'm only hoping that would make payments outside the US, and even better it would be if they could send the revenue via paypal.
hmm...I'd definitely consider it. I'm all about multiple streams of income. Just haven't had a site denied by Google yet. Although, if yahoo is a little less conservative with their content publishers, I might just create some tabacco, alchohol, pharmacy, drugs, and/or sex sites.
I'm satisifed with my AdSense account at this point. I'll probably wait on what people who try it out say and if things are positive, I'll roll it out on a limited basis.
I may get my first adsense check this upcoming month, so I may try out the yahoo to see what I want to get serious about. Decisions, decisions....
I'm going to give it a week or two as I don't want to jeopordize my AdSense revenue (It has tripled over the last two months) It is a welcomed addition though and I have my fingers crossed it will be as good if not better that Googles
Hell yes I'll try it, but not if the ad relevancy is as lame as it looked a couple of months ago. Is it even contextual? I heard about it maybe being based on pased viewing habbits (Privacy issues I know, but still - that's what I heard)
hmmm, beta is US only. I assume that once out of beta, they'll roll it out to every one. Payment via paypal would be fantastic, otherwise I suppose cheque/eft will have to do
Yup, I'd love to try it, but I'll have to wait too. Looking on the bright side we'll hear some of the pros and cons from Yahoo's US "Guinea Pigs" before trying it for ourselves.
I have about 100pages where I will add PN. I am hoping yahoo would be more rewarding and understanding.
Google won't take this without some fightback. I expect they may slightly increase publisher rates if Yahoo! are more competetive. AdSense is worth to much to google- i'll probably stick to it.
I saw this on the cnet article I originally read: Since they are saying they will add human editorial to the ad selection process I assumed this would be in addition to the technology used.
The only "harm" could be the potential for a short term revenue hit if you pull Adsense to test Yahoo and it doesn't perform as well.
