The fact that it's free and it comes from a reputable company, I would want to try it out and see if it's worth it. For now, I'm happy with Windows, specifically XP. I never liked Vista except for the interface. SO many compatibility issues.
ionatoufleming, Vista's interface is very cool no doubt but when it comes to using that platform its really not like XP. But google chrome as its free it will get a huge market, but still few people take it negative as they think its not worth it so thats why google chrome are giving their OS for free! I mean we guys can think positive lol!
hey i found google chrome performance not up to the mark , i found it slow even i use highspeed broadband, but it looks stylish and owns its own gud favour.
I don't think google can beat MS in OS, So I will not try Chrome OS before it take over 30% market share!
I would love to try since it is free and if it can run at new computers. Why bother to pay extra for OS. May I suggest the thread open a poll for us to vote.
Traffic bug what kind of catching up you have to do??? Just go for it... try it and you will like it. I can assure you that!
From what the developers say, it should be able to boot in just a second. I don't know about you guys, but that sounds like it's worth a try. Besides, you don't have to switch. You can always double/triple boot.
I am using google chrome. What I like in GC is that it is light weight, colorful, peaceful, easily browse facility, contains own task manager, great bookmark facility. What i don't like is that there is no add on tools, history search box will fetch all types of data and google developed this product for windows only.
yeh history box is a big drawback but you can download the plugins... you can get these all tools by downloading plugins!! try finding plugins on google search engine... hope this helps!
I like Google Chrome OS and Mozilla Firefox. I'm using both of them. But since Google Chrome haven't release for *nix yet, i 'm using Chromium on my ubuntu instead. Check out my post about it: http://www.ivankristianto.com/2009/07/howto-install-chromium-open-source-google-chrome-on-ubuntu/
OS means "Operating System" and it certainly is not the browser. Google is releasing Chrome OS which is an operating system (like windows, ubuntu, etc), do you even know the news?
I know that. But Google Make Chrome OS not as a local Operating System like Windows or Ubuntu as you mention. Google make Chrome OS as the Internet based Operating System, which means the actual OS live on internet and Chrome OS as the UI. CMIIW.
