I have a few access databases they'd be interested in. One called backlinks.mdb, and another called reciprocals.mdb...

Maybe a few 100 word documents in a folder called articles/

    And my bookmarks.... OMG!

You might see Google ads when you access your files, perhaps? Or, they might send out newsletters/special offers to all their GDrive customers.

Hee hee, no but they could get their free customers onto Adsense or Adwords. Or, have a limit on the disk space and upgrade you to a bigger account for more money. Or, have limitless space for everyone and upgrade you to an adless site for more money. Or maybe some fancy paid features ....

It will be all the more enticing with a free online word processor with which to edit your stored docs...

well, if its only about accessing files anywhere you want, you might just as wel use Microsoft's Foldershare. Files stay on your own computer then, only you need to have the pc turned on all the time then...
