Will you sell your directory one day?

I don't think I will,at least I won't sell livelydirectory and alikedirectory in the following ten years or so,I have spent a lot of time in the directories and i have a big plan for them.
It looks that there are many "directory sales" lately,or I know some wanted to sell them directory out.

    Will you sell yours?

I just can't sell any of my sites. If somebody is buying them it means they have potential. Why would I let that opportunity as long as I don't really need that money.

The Directory market for good quality Directories is very bouyant, and even in the last few days a well known member here withdrew his pending sale as he considers the medium to long term benefits are greater than any outright sale at this time

Tend to agree the medium to long term future looks very solid for Directories

So Hold and Build would be my take on the market right now :)

I don't have a plan to sell my directories YET. I would like to keep building them as long as I can.

It would take an extremely good offer to get me to sell, either that or some dire circumstance which backed me into a corner. Otherwise not a chance, not in the current climate.

I decided not to sell any of my websites unless I am forced to do so. Not just directories but all other websites.
In most of cases, selling your site for 10 months profits in maybe equal or less than your investment and time you spent on it is something that is not covered by that price.
Other than financial reasons, emotional reasons are big factor not to sell.

hahahahaha well said. I was about to come and say never but yes everything has a price and to deny that is well ludcricus. EVEN if you never wanted to seel if someone kept increasing the price eventually you would.

That being said: Do I PLAN on it? Nah. I like what I got going and it willl only get bigger from the hard work I'm putting in. Who needs a retirement program when your building an online community?? What's that smell oh it's value and passive income 2 of my favourite things in the world.:D

Good idea, I was refering to my blog dir when talking to Malcolm; some of my smaller projects I started before the blog scene came around I will probably let go. Not for the money but if you don't keep something up it loses it's relevance.

Exactly, at that point you have to decide whether you want to hire some editors or just let it go and focus on whatever is most important to you.

Wait so you plan to live forever ?

Come on be practical guys one will sell their sites/etc. one day for sure and those saying otherwise are planning to live forever, cause your site will surely die if you do not sell it or hand it over to someone before u die.

So, think about it.... Death is inevitable. And if selling the site puts some cash into your hands to make your families and kids future brighter than why would you not do it ?

I am sure i will sell my sites when i cannot support them anymore nor have time for them.

Well not everything has price mate, life is priceless, love is priceless, friendship is priceless, faith is priceless. Your very existence in this world is priceless mate.

Please read the sentence in context, and the context is business.:) So your philosophy is better suited for GC.
