Will you review my site

www.websiteforumz.com please review it I use auctionads there site is down at the moment and there ads are not showing properly so dont mind them.

 

It's weird how your forum isn't showing ads but mine is. The forum layout and feel look real good.

 

Which site do you have their ads on? and thanks for the comment

 

My thoughts:
-I don't like the large text in the header area and I don't like the placement of that text.
-I don't like the black background when the rest of the website looks like it should be on a white background. It is hard on my eyes.
-There seems to be many, many categories but not many subcategories. This makes the first page very, very long. There is no need for this. Keep it Simple Silly
-Your logo could use a new design. I'd recommend running a contest here at DP. I can't hardly read what the logo says.
-I'm not 100% sure what your site is about. I see so many topics...I think you would do better if specialized the site so that you can become "known" in that niche.
-It looks like you have a lot of users but I didn't go in and look at the quality of the postings. I'm sure some updated site design will help keep visitors returning. I'd be curious to know the stats on how many visitors return.

So far all the users that I have, have said they like the design. looks alot better in IE the logo was done on a windows vista computer has higher dept in colors when view it through that. the forum is a general discussion forum so it has to be long on the homepage to fit all the topics in.

I set the back ground to black to bring out any color that is in the pages, tried white did'nt look as good.

I get a lot of traffic and ip's adress seem to come back again and again even if they dont join.

the last few day I have had alot of new members all posting in large numbers of posts and starting threads so I think it maybe down to the personal choice of the person. I added a few styles which no one ever uses.

The constrast of the black background is not great. I think white or light grey would be much better on the eye.

Also too many forums. And they all seem to be unrelated to each other.

What is the main topic of the forums anyway? Looks a bit messy..

Detail: I like your website and think that it could be improved by removing those damn lock icons from the forum default options. For a start that makes a guest feel locked out and that they will be unable to post. Create more sections so that the discussion may be broadned.

 

i like the way it is set up and that is is easy to navigate and good resolution good colors

 

The look of the site and your logo made me think it was all about video games. I think you need to clarify your niche. Your topics are quite diverse, you might check where you have the least activity and drop those to focus on the ones driving your traffic. Once you do that, you might want to revisit your logo.

 

I have made a few more changes could I get your opinion on them,

some of which are sub forums on homepage, because there is so many forums on my site I had to expand them out.

 

Looks stylish. I like the layout. Well done!
