Depend on which country you are.Even womans pays for dating,especialy if they ugly.In my country,Croatia,there are no paid dating sites,they are all free beacuse probaly noone will pay for it.

The competition for pay dating sites is not free dating sites. It's mail order bride sites. And hookers. Why would someone pay money for the potential of a single date when for just a little bit more you could buy a highly submissive foreign born bride that wants nothing more than to make you happy? When you're done with her you can just put return to sender on the box and ship her back. Why would I pay for the potential of a single date when for about the same price you could guarantee some action and drop her off at the nearest street corner when you're done? Seriously, there's no shortage of free ways to meet people. When you're paying money to meet people you have reached a new level of sadness otherwise only experienced by emos.

I actually met my wife through OKCupid. Both of us had chatted with a few people that we met on there but we'd never met up with anyone in real life until we met. She contacted me, I liked her profile and her looks so I replied back and now we've been married for over a year. The point of internet dating is to more efficiently find people you might want to date. If you go to a bar you're going on looks alone for finding someone. If you go on-line you can judge people by their personality before even bothering to try dating them. An hour (if you can stand them that long) chat on IM will tell you whether or not you should bother taking them out. Internet dating is not literally dating on the internet. It's using the internet to find people to have a real relationship with in the real world. Since my wife lived about 40 miles from me at the time, there would be zero chance of us meeting except through the internet. Some people use the internet to have "relationships" with people they will never meet. That's stupid. The reason there's no reason to pay for such a service is because there are too many well established free services that do the job better and survive on ad revenue.
Well personaly i have policy why bother with paying something if you can pay fixed price and get EXACTLY what you want(hooker)no matter are you on online dating or offline dating.
