Will you give money to the beggars along the road?

I came across many beggars here. I gave them some money.
But my friends told me that she had come across a beggar for several times in different parts of the city. Every time the beggar said he had his money stolen and beg some money to go home. She felt angry at that time.

Will you give money to the beggars along the road?

    If I see one, yeah.
If I see like ten of them on the road, then no.

I don't give a single penny to beggar.. Since if you give them money then it become their habit to beg around, and they never stop. if you really want to help some poor person then try find who is actually poor.. if you search you will find alot. & don't give them pennies this wont help them either.

I do that way.. and that's what my religion taught me to do so..

90-95 % beggars are pretended beggars, They really can work, not beg money but they do that, so I do not give any money to them. I work not for them but for me and my family. And also most of the money they gather goes to one person, they get only percents.

I don't give money. If I have a little spare cash, I buy them a pasty or sandwich - if they are truly collecting money for food, they will be just as grateful.

No...I do not tolerate beggars. Some of my friends have disabilities yet they can work. Some people on the streets have mighty strong hands and healthy but they prefer to beg, just to lazy to stretch their bones. Besides, there are institutions that you can help instead. You'll never know if the beggars on the street is just their scheme or a part of a syndicate. You could be supporting them to exploit kids or old people to beg.

Personally I like to give them food if they seem to need it, never money. I recently read an article and apparently some beggars are earning up to £200 in a single night here in the UK! That's more than most people earn in 2-3 days work, let alone one night.

Rather than money, I like to give them food.
Some of the beggards misuse the money, I have seen some beggars using the money for buying ciggeretts etc.
So, I prefer giving them food. Rarely, I give them money etc.

Depends. If they can walk, they can work, so I don't give to them.

Keep in mind, beggar is a kind of profession now. (they can earn more than you :D)
