    Most of the features are same as in fb. I dont think it will work out, because facebook is the best and to beat it g+ must launch some other features which should be better than fb. 

    Even I have joined g+ the second or the third day it has launched but not used it since last eight days.

    The curiosity is just to see how it works but people wont leave fb thats for sure.

    I believe its still in the testing phase, the reason why they don't just let anybody subscribe. and they want to be sure also that you really know the person because to be a member you have to be invited first.

    As it stands right now, Google+ has the potential to beat Facebook, it has some features that Facebook does not have.

    Also Google+ is still in its beta stage, why do you think its on an invite basis only.

    Invite basis reasons:
    To make sure that you know the person.
    Because they're still in the testing phase and can't accommodate all users.

    that's all that I can think off...
