if your content is about something from last year maybe it needs to be made current!

Why not, if your content is not unique or old. Content is still the king, so keeping it refresh and interesting is your main goal.

Look if you are talking about .cn PR9 link forget about it, it wont pass page rank, been tested many times.
Unless your site is also .cn or same language and niche, that would be different

 

agtile is right.

It wont pass any page rank. but i found a new loop hole in Page rank's algorithm and that bought me more rewards than questions.

 

may be client may change content for PR9 link..
