I don't mind buying from China. There are many China based eBay sellers these days and I've placed many orders from them. The only thing I would worry about is if the item turns out to be defective, it would be a lot of hassle to sort out the returns and refund. But so far, everything I've bought from China have been fine.
I think business is all about trust. China may have a less reputation on specific products. But if you can show the quality, both in products and services, I would not averse to buy from China.
I agree with that... If you buy the product cheap so don't expect too much in return. Better stick to branded and high quality products.
I have purchased products from China before. The transaction went really smooth. Make sure you can communicate in Chinese OR if you are lucky enough, you can find someone out there who can speak in English.
If want to order a large quantity, choose B2B company is better. I don't know what products ur friend want, but eoem dot cc is a large phone accessory wholesale company, cheap and deliver fast.
Though I heard some chinese goods are not reliable to buy, but at same time not all china stores sell fake goods. I buy from chinese store, ChinaBuye, where I ordered my flashlight stuffs and electronic items in bulk every 3 months. So far genuine in payment deals and good in quality and service. They did dropshipped without much delay and with free ship cost. So it depends on who the supplier is, no matter their country.
If its a legit company maybe, definitely not ebay though. A guy from China tried to swindle me out of $160 dollars for an xbox when it first came out.
It all depends on what you're looking for. If it's small and inexpensive goods, china is not a bad choice. For example something you use for short term, like phone accessories, wires, charger, etc i always buy from china sellers because they tend to be super cheap. But for big and long term products, i would recommend you buy from a well branded company.
I own an e-commerce website and I drop ship some products directly from china. If the products are sent with DHL or UPS, the products are delivered very fast (4-6 days) but with airmail it's really not fair for customer. It depends on the suplier also, I already made bad experiences with supplier who wasn't transparent enough with their selling policy, this is bad for business. I usually place test orders, if the supplier can't keep his promise (delivery time, price and quality), I stop working with them directly, no second chance.
I did purchase product from China, and i will say the product quality is not that good. However, by comparing the price, we cant really expect too much.
I do but only from one reputable seller who is recommended by a friend also otherwise, I prefer buying from big and branded companies, saves me from all the hassle :0
China's products also have good quality, quality depend on price, low price bad quality, higher price, high quality. Most customer like cheap, then bad quality, that's it.
I would purchase from China, if I was sure of product quality and if website provided high quality product images and zoom. Even more, I was searching for some product to by from one Chinese website, it was much cheaper, and product reviews showed it was great. Unfortunately it was out of stock at that moment. So, when creating ecommerce website (no matter what you're selling), consider product reviews and huge images with zoom. It sells!
Chinese products are only good for import/export work and businesses. I'm unsure as to what you think regarding selling directly to consumers but the thing is, wholesalers and suppliers of all types from China need a middleman in the states for wholesale and such
