If you had a time machine you wouldn't need $1 million, you could just invest or gamble and make billions :p

But yeah, I should be one already, I wouldn't feel too cheated if I'm one before 20 though.

    How about if we refrase....

I'm in my mid 30's now... and 3/4 of the way there.

A few words of advise, especially to you younger guys....

Buy a house/condo/whatever ASAP! Don't rent. My largest jumps in net worth came from homes I lived in, then sold for bigger ones. I'm not a real estate guy I'm just saying my livelyhood bought and paid for the homes I've lived in. Then when it was time to move, instead of packing up and having nothing for all those monthly payments (like a renter would have) I got all my money back and alot more... Not to mention the tax benifits....

    Just my 2 cents... lol

    Millionaire by 30, no.
    I'm 30 now. Aiming for 35.
Made colossal mistakes along the way, with no proper business training,
    just trial and error.

Also is that "millionaire" question in £ or $?

Don't knock it, that worked for Thomas Edison! :)

I believe that most "business training" is done by academics with little or no real-world experience. This makes them of little value or possibly even negative value.

As Will Rogers said "It's not what you don't know that hurts you. It's what you do know that ain't so."

With trial and error, you have a much better chance of generating the right answers.

The only ones that would benefit if I made millions on the net right now,
    are the grandkids!
And possibly the wife...maybe the kids.
For sure our dog would be set up for life!

    £1,000,000 = $1,750,000

We got it harder :p Although the $ is pretty much the universal internet currency these days. Show an American a € or a £ and most won't know what it is, show a European a $, £ or € and they'll understand them all.

Took me to 32 to make that much :D damn missed it by 2 years. Peniless again now though ;) (45) . Money is not all it is cracked up to be. Currently, every day, more comes in than I need to pay the bills, regardless of any new work, so I guess the word is, 'comfortable'. :(

All my ambition has gone though, I no longer stay awake working until dawn because I need to 'make it'. Now I do it for the fun of it. Mucjh more satisfying, andf the money helps as well LOL.

Im 33, and never had a million yet, and not holding my breath for it either or I would probably wake up in the local casuality department !

Money isnt everything, maybe you dont have money but im sure you are all loved by at least one person.

ps: your mother doesnt count she HAS to love you !

Actually, you are all probably millionaires already! If you make $50,000 a year, every 20 years to run through a million bucks. If you make 10 grand, every decade you have run through a million dollars. At the salary level, you will earn over $4 million during your lifetime.

As you can see, a million is nothing in North America or Europe. A $100 million is something. Billionaires are more common than millionaires were when I was a kid. That is the new metric.
