I have never upgraded a laptop before, anyone have any idea how much it would cost to upgrade the Mother board of this comp?

The main reason is the GFX card i want to upgrade, but thats integrated into motherboard... So how can i upgrade the gfx card? do i have to upgrade the mother board?

The odds are high that you won't be able to upgrade the motherboard in your laptop most of the time the laptop enclosure can only accommodate it's original motherboard while most other boards even for the same laptop maker will not fit/align with all the drives, screws, etc.

Clive, you can easily go to Vista Business/Premium.
For all, I would suggest don't even think of Vista if you don't have at least 1 GB RAM. Also check for your Video card's compatibility from the manufacturer. If Your Video card has at least 64 MB memory you will be on the safer side, but 128 MB is recommended.
