Will Windows Vista Have A Shorter Life Span Like Windows ME?

If I'm correct, Windows Millenium was only out for about a year before they replaced it with Windows XP. With all this talk about Windows 7 coming out, it makes you kind of wonder whether the same thing will happen to Vista. Is there any word on when Windows 7 will be coming out? If it's anytime soon then I probably won't be buying a new computer to try out Vista.

Good question, I agree to it, You have to remember one thing, Windows ME released to replace Windows 98 but nothing happened, 98 was far better than Windows ME. If I am not wrong the same you can expect against Windows Vista.

Becoz Windows Vista is the best at any cost.

Windows 7 has already been released for testing...I think it was last week I saw on the news Windows 7 was available for download for trial, for 6 months..

So yeah..they are replacing Vista..the news broadcast said that they got lots of bad feedback for Vista thus why they were allowing the beta of Windows 7..

I wouldnt DARE try a beta of any Windows...the compatibility has to be really bad I would think!

If you're a beta tester do you get to keep a free license of the software when it gets released?

I think that yes windows vista will do. Most people will go from XP to Windows 7 and will never try Vista. It will soon be forgotten

I think Microsoft should dump Windows Vista after the release of Windows 7.
