Hi, i am wandering what kind of hosting it would require to run a forum with 50,000 regular posters. Will VPS hosting support this?

Does anyone have any recommendations on vps hosting providers or even value dedicated servers?

most of the online hosting reviews i can tell suck and are unreliable because they list providers i've used at the top and i know those services suck ass.

They're mostly ordered in terms of highest CPAs

I'm looking for a good relable host at a good value price preferably using h-sphere but cpanel would work.

My VPS host is ServInt and they are freaking great. The servers are not overloaded and the support is top of the line. I pay just over $50/mo for hosting and some addons (IPs).

I've used a ton of VPS hosts and ServInt is the one I stay with. I am able to do anything I want on the server and have no issues. I've got a forum on the server with around 10k active users and am still able to have others sites on the VPS.

The issue with VPSs is you need to optimize it. Most people do not do this and that is why they have issues. I've seen a ton of people saying how much VPSs such when I can tell they did not optimize their configuration for the VPS environment. If you are not ready to spend time optimizing the server then you should go with a dedicated as it is more forgiving.
