Will using free article content hurt my search engine rankings or help?

I want to use some free articles from this website:

ezinearticles.com

If I use these I am required to have certain links back to them, as well as links to the authors of the articles.

Do you think this would be worth it or might it hurt my search engine rankings and link my website to unrelated topics?

You could use them all right, but won't original content be better for your readers ?

 

I don't think that it will help your SEO efforts in any way as the search engines will classify your content as duplicate content so you won't rank very high with that content.

 

i think those will be useless content.

why do you want to give useless content to your visitors?

 

It is only useless if the readers know another place to read about it. If a reader comes to your site and finds that particular story as a result of it AND that story is relevant and helpful to the visitor -- Guess what? You just provided a good positive visitor experience. Chances are they will bookmark it and return.

Not all content is aimed only at SEO purposes. My recommendation is that you try to have as much original content as possible, but by all means use those articles that are high quality and relevant to offer to your visitors.

 

A lot of people uses the same articles and they will dublicate content , if you have to at least re write them and change them but it is better to write your original content.

 

it will be treat as duplicate content but the visitors wont know right? If you want something for the visitor to read just use it, but if you aim for SEO and ranking purpose better no.

 

for SEO it's useless even dangerous, but for visitors, it will be good.

 

duplicate might be dangerous,but a lot of article site is using it but not penalized. Better safe than sorry, google is watching us, they have an army of human editors

 

I think, just like others said here, that: displaying content which also appears on other web sites (it's freely available, so others use it for sure) will result in duplicate content penalties.
To get good search engine rankings on the major search engines, you must show unique content on your pages.
If you see other sites using the same content, it is probably due to their authoritative status for displaying other, unique content on their sites.

its not good idea to republish content which is already exist on net as it is. What you can do is take that article as reference and rewrite it in your words and give credits to author. by doing this you will avoid chances of duplicate content penalty and also give enough content to your visitors.
