I think Israel was planning too. But the Iranians have built some many nuclear sites that it's making it almost impossible. Israel has the F-16(i) but doesn't have enough of them.
During the 6 day war, Israel's air force did the impossible. Now they are equipped with far more advanced planes, F15 and F16s I do not think they do not have enough firepower to destroy the nuclear sites. But I think USA needs to give the nod before Israel's actions.
The Israeli airforce is pwoerful but Iran is some distance away and only the F-15(i) and F-16(i) have the range to get there and back. Israel probably only has the long range strength of one aircraft carrier which is not enough to take out all the Iranian Nuclear sites, missle sites and Iranian Airforce. It's not doubt also that should Israel bomb the Iranian nuclear sites that Hezbollah will let loose thousand of rockets on Israeli cities.

That's why the USA comes in, without a great enough incentive package, Israel needs to think twice about bombing Iran.
Again, we aren't talking a surface or atmospheric detonation, you should read about the difference, it's actually quite interesting. The concept of a low-yeild (>1kt) bunker buster is to damage the facility from the shockwave, not the actual "thermal" heat or "radiants" produces from the explosion. This type of weapon would do it, and trust me Isreal has the ability to do it.
if a war happen .. the scenario will be like this : Hizbullah vs. Israel Iran vs. America i hope that no more wars will happen because everybody in ME wants peace .. its just that Israel is planning to make its dream real .. its dream is to be from Nile to Furat (as appearing in its flag and as stated in their books) and it cannot achieve that with the existence of Hizbullah in Lebanon and Iran in Iraq.
