Hello, I always make higher PPC on my new sites when i put adsense on them, but then eventually the PPC goes down, down and down. Will the PPC go up if i update my sites more often? Like lets say twice a week or something... Thanks,
I always wonder about this. Should I update this page . . . that page? But I think the changes go toward affecting higher ranking, rather than higher PPC directly. Of course, some have argued that higher ranking = higher PPC. According to a Google patent from a while back, "freshness" can be either good or bad. Good new = auctions (minute), news (hourly), timely updates (weekly), corrections (monthly), etc. Bad new = spam, churn, instability, manipulation, "bad SEO", etc. I think that Google is smart enough to apply a boost/penalty, based upon the type of site, type of page, historical changes, change rate of similar pages, etc. My guess is that in most cases, Updated = New = Good. Exceptions to new=good would be Domain registration date, first date online, page recently added, etc. (I overuse "etc.", it appears. Hah! Etc.) Is that a 1961 Chevy in your icon thing? I used to have one. Way back when. The most visibility of any car ever - pure glass in every direction. Same as my 1961 Cadillac. NEVER should have sold that one.
I don't think that updating pages will increase the PPC. Maybe it will if you update the page with differen keywords (higher pying ones) than it had before.
