We have those right now. The "problem", if you will, is that petroleum is "too cheap" to make those other technologies economically viable. I am for a 5 cent a month increase in the gasoline tax. Every month, the price of petroleum goes up another 5 cents. Eventually, we will use other technologies. We can use the money to lower other taxes, so that the total tax burden on individuals is not changed.

It is not pointless for Haliburton and the current administration in power. Everytime there is a war where they can get involved it's an oppurtunity to pocket billions of dollars of Tax renenue and loans into the future. And yes, everyone else is fodder because this country is at war any freedom of speech will be curtailed. Eventually opinions of others will not matter because you will either be dead or too poor to fight a legal battle. And what's done is done for ever. How to do it again? Next step, starting in 2008, rewrite the history books so no one remembers.

I think the reality of the situation is that I am confused your confused and we all are confused ... what better way to control us!
