It'll be a bad war thats for sure, a lot of people will lose there lives a lot mroe then the Iraq war.
Without being more informed on Iran's actual nuclear capability I can't decide wether I would support attack, however: I believe Israel is going to strike shortly, and in that case I think we should stay out of it unless we are actually attacked by Iran. If we are attacked, I have no problem with us defending ourselves.
I'm not so sure its wise to wait and see a mushroom cloud over a city before we say - man, Iran is really a problem now.
I don't think so, Israel try to lick the enemys ass as much as they can. In the autumn 2005 Ariel said that they was going to quit the deportation-of-settlers plans if Hamas didn't stop bomb them. Before the Palestinian election he said that Israel wouldn't allow Hamas in the election. Now Hamas has kept on with bombing them, taken over the palestinian government and Ariel/Ehud hasn't done a shit. Is Hamas friendlier now? No, they are as they always was. The only differens is that they got more power now. That's what happen when people are ignorant about the current situation in their hope for peace.
I don't believe I see an Israeli attack coming soon. This type of attack would require a large strike to be succesful, it would require the help of the United States and would definitly be asking the Arab and Persian world for an attack on Israel. An American attack I can see, but we will know more about it later. 50 posts !!
yesterday Israel said arab countries actions were a "declaration of war", do you think Israel is going to sit around and do nothing when they say war has been declared on them? Obviously not... It's doesn't require our help. We've already sent them BILLIONS of dollars to help build up their army and bombs. All they have to do is use them.
Well back in December Israel also said a strike would be made by March. Nothing there, Israeli jet fighters would have to be refeuled during the flight, only America would help with that and they know that it would be a declaration of war on America and Israel.
No they didn't. Rumors went around in the news that the military would be READY for a strike by March. They're waiting for the UN to fall through on sanctions before making their move.
Never the less, the mission will not be possible without American support, and even if the Americans arn't some how involved they will be pulled in whether they want it or not.
LOL it's almost nothing. The amount is 3 billion dollars every year if they buy american goods. The money is therefore directly re-invested in the american weapon industry. Egypt, their neighbour on the other hand get's 2 billion every year but they can buy from anyone, even north korea. So they have more flexibillity.
By the way, Israel is a 6 million country with a GDP per capita that is half of the US one. The economy of 3 million people in US is therefore equal to Israels economy. US spends $466.0 billion on the millitary every year while Israel only spends $8.97 billion. Iran spends $9.7 billion. But consider that Israel today spends most of the money on protecting it's terrority against furious palestinians. Anyone that thinks that Israel can handle Iran by themself are naive.
