Will this work with Adbrite?

I have some zones on my site where I don't receive any clicks. On those sites I'm running adbrite as CPM. Now if I remove all CPC advertisers from that zone and include only CPM advertisers, will my earnings increase or will the fill rate decrease and the earnings remain the same?

    Anybody tried this?

it depends on your site, but it may not have a high fill rate.
there is no problem removing text ads.
as long as there are no text ads adbrite will try to serve a cpm ad.

if those zones have a low ctr even on banners, that will affect your fill rate and cpm.
advertises see how their ad preforms on every site their ad shows.
they can lower/raise the max cpm for just your site or they can have it not show on your site.

Hmm... maybe I will let this run undisturbed for a few weeks and see how it turns.

For the first time I'm actually making money from adbrite. I started with a CPM of about $0.03 and now some zones are running at $0.25 CPM. Adbrite's CPM increases with time contrary to other CPM networks where CPM decreases. This is something one member on DP said once. He was right! Adbrite is one very fine CPM program.

If this zone is in a place where you normally never get considerable clicks then you are better of running only CPM ads. Your earnings will increase since the impressions will not be hogged by CPC ads which don't generate revenue since they are not being clicked. This means your cpm ads will get more impressions.

That's what I'm thinking. I will do that. The trouble is there are over 800 advertisers on that zone. Going through all these will be tedious. There is not even an option to filter advertisers by CPM or CPC. damn!

If this is the first time you enabled manual review of ads for that zone then there are bound to be that much ads :D

When going through the list just click on the link that says banner and hit approve. This will approve all cpm ads on that page. But you will still have to do that in all pages.
