Actually I wanted to post this as a answer to some guy's question who wants to invest 5k.But I was not sure whether it would work well or not Buy a pr 6 or pr 7 domain for a reasonable price(may be arnd 2 to 5k).Build a site arnd the domains niche.Get traffic.Do seo ,build links and do what ever u can to show decent stats. And flip it after a month or 2. Just a vague idea,do u think it will work?
I agree.....and the best result would be if domain name would be catchy, and cool looking site. Of course, with decent traffic.
Not that fast to flip a website. You need at least 6 month to get the website profitable. So your idea is very risky coz the domain PR will be drop anytime due to google update PR.
it will work. the question is how much value can you add to the website? if you buy it for 3k, and are able to turn it into a 10-15k website, then it's definitely worth doing. people who dont know what they are doing can run a 3k site into the ground.
It might work if you know what you are doing. Better off buying 5 established sites for $1k each and spending $2k on each for SEO. That way if one or 2 don't do so well you still have some other good sites
Instead of buying a high PR site, you can start your own domain, build backlinks, update contents, do seo and monetize it. I think this will work better.
I think also that it should work, however I would prefer Dairyman's idea of not making any investment in buying a PR 6 or PR 7. It's better to start your own domain as suggested by him! Good luck...
