Would the following kind of thread have a negative impact on our Page Rank please guys?

It has a quoted article with a link back to the source but would the bots view that as 'copy and paste'?

Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

It could trigger the duplicate content issues. I'm not sure if duplicate content penalty has any effect on your PR.

Even if it is quite clearly linked and quoted as where it has come from?

If you only quote a piece of the article it should be alright, and if you have a link back to the real article it would not affect you at all in my opinion.

I guess that the google robot will not use super-high artificial intelligence to check the quotes and backlinks to the original. For the robot it's just a piece of the same content.

and there in lies the trick. Much of the opinion stated here assumes that human logic is applied as to how we read articles and references at the bottom of them. I always make sure that when I quote other website content that its well under 10% of any given page (which is also a copyright concept).

Thank you very much. Would you say it has to be less than 10% of the article or the text on that specific page?
