Will this idea work to make $90,000 a year from Adsense ?

Thank you for reading my post.

Here is a Google Adsense strategy I’ve been thinking of trying.
If I do this, it’s going to take a considerable amount of time and effort. So I’d really appreciate input from Adsense veterans.

    The Idea in Brief

I am wondering what would happen if someone committed himself to building, say, 1,000 mini Adsense websites -- each consisting of only one or two pages of actual original content. And a set of stock complimentary pages like: faq, contact us, about us, etc. The websites could be about anything that has proven traffic-worthy – by the niche-finding method of your choice. One could chase long tail keywords, or perhaps just go for high volume keywords and hope that you catch some of the stragglers.

How much money can be made?

This is the hard part. It is difficult to ascertain exactly how effective this strategy will be. It is based on several factors. Most important (after your page rank that is) would seem to be the pertinence and broad appeal of the topics you choose to write about. And the effectiveness of your web skin in attracting nice CTR numbers.
But let’s just assume that each website only made a nickel a day.
Then that would mean you made 50 bucks that day. Not great. But when the numbers get just a little bit higher, they suddenly become quite interesting.

Daily Income Revenue from all websites

    $.05 a day $50.00 a day
    $.10 a day $100.00 a day
    $.15 a day $150.00 a day
    $.20 a day $200.00 a day
    $.25 a day $250.00 a day

So, what I’m saying is, owning a website that makes a quarter a day, is pretty damn horrible. However, if you own 1000 websites that make a quarter a day, well then that means you are making $91,250 dollars a year.

    Cost

1000 .info Domain Names per year - $3,000
HostGator Hosting per year – $60
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Yearly Expenses = $3,060

I’ve heard that the HostGator "Baby" account actually allows you to host an unlimited amount of websites. Now if your traffic starts adding up, there could be some obvious performance issues. But at that price, adding more web hosting servers is pretty reasonable.
There is considerable debate out there about the power of .com names versus the cheaper .info names. And for a non-branding sites like these (which are designed to rely on organic traffic) a .info may be the way to go.

So what I’m saying is, with a little planning, one could build a network of a thousand minisites, for a relatively minimum investment.

    Website Content

I envision making the ministies in a fashion similar to my website below.
    http://www.askabbie.com

Notice that it has just five foundational pages, and good simple SEO followed by one Google Ads box above the fold.

The part of content generation that requires the most thought would be in constructing your h1, h2, description, and keyword tags. The paragraphs should be easy.

    Content Generation

The content should be unique for ranking purposes. But, it doesn’t have to be good at all. In fact, it is probably better if our content isn’t that great, so the user will be encouraged to keep up their search, and will click our Google ads. Also, it is probably best if our content is not too lengthy. Maybe just a couple hundred words ending well above the fold – where our Adsense ad should be.

It can be created by many automated processes.

Like taking articles from a zine and running them through a sentence scrambler.

Or using Dragon Naturally Speaking to render articles in your own words.
Or just by pounding out sentences gleamed from Wikipedia.
My hunch is, if someone really knew what they were doing, and once the technical aspects of the process has been automated, one could most certainly produce upwards of 20-30 websites a day. This all primarily depends on how long you spends niche finding, and how long the articles really are. Really, one could probably get away with rambling off a couple paragraphs and then that’s that.

If you did 20 websites a day, you could build 1000 websites in 50 days.
And, if you ran a server in your room, one could write a database program that manages your websites and articles for you. Such that, all you’d have to do is blurt out a couple paragraphs and press save, and your website would be up and running.

    Free Backlinks

One benefit of this method is that you will be able to create your own backlinks to yourself. This will improve your Quality Score - which gives you more money per Adsense click.

It is probably not a good idea to link all 1000 websites to each other. Rather, making a niche of a few dozen semi-related websites in a link wheel is probably the way to go.

    Survival of the Fittest

One need not keep the same 1000 minisites every year. Underperformers could be pruned off the network. Though at a cost of only 3 dollars per domain name per year, it’s tempting just to leave them on there and hope their performance increases in years to come. Also, Google increase your Quality Score as well as your payout per click as domain names age. So it may always be in your interest to prune nothing.

With such an expansive network of Adsense websites, one could partake in some rather interesting Adsense Optimization Experiments. That is to say, if you were to make a CMS to manage the layout of all of your pages, then experiments could be undertaken to jostle Adsense units around until optimal CTR configuration is revealed.

    Sustainability

It’s hard to know how long a method like this would generate significant revenue. God knows Google doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. Also, every year there are more people using the internet. And for every year a website is online, Google considers increases its worth and your CPC should go up.

    Possible Pitfalls

I’ve been trying to envision some ways that this strategy could fail. I’d really like your input. Here are some pitfalls I came up with.

Google may hate seeing all of your sites hosted on the same IP. This has historically reportedly not been an issue. But that may change. Or may become more of an issues when there are thousands involved – not just dozens.

Google may hate seeing the same Adsense unit owner on every site linking to you.

Google Blindness grows. As the users get more sophisticated, Google Blindness may become increasingly problematic.

Google AI gets better and “Built for Adsense” style websites (such as these) get continually sidelined.

Anymore you guys can think of?

    Questions

If all of the 1000 websites were from a similar IP or Region (say coming from your bedroom server), how much will Google lower your page rank? Some people swear this does not seem to be an issue.

Would it be wise to write a dedicated link swapping program – that would jostle around any given set of links in our network, such that we don’t have a static bushy tree? Although admittedly, this would not help with first mentioned question above.

Would the fact that Google is able to see that the same Adsense Unit owner (namely you) is assigned to websites which link only to each other, be a detriment to your Quality Score?

    Thank You

What traffic do you believe you need to make .25c per day?
I would hazard a guess at 50-100 uniques daily for a one page website...maybe?

Google would also probably notice the 1000 websites hosted to the same person and the same server. This is not the first time this has been done and google hates sites like this and have been taking steps to rid the google index of this. This is a short term plan as it is only a matter of time before most of these sites are completely ignored.

In theory it works, however building 20 sites a day is VERY ambitious. Lets break it down:

Think of 20 domains = 30 minutes (at minimum)
Register 20 domains = 10 minutes (at minimum)
Link the domains to hosting = 20 minutes
Research content for twenty sites = 20 minutes per site 20x20 = 400 minutes
Write up content for twenty sites = 60 minutes
FTP upload twenty sites = 60 minutes
Check that the twenty sites are up and working = 10 minutes
Get links pointing to your site and promote for twenty sites (directories etc) = 10 minutes per site x 20 = 200 minutes

    thats 30+10+20+400+60+60+10+200 = 790 = 13.16 hours

That is at the very minimum. I guess some days it could take double that.

Its a nice idea but the effort required would be more worthwhile creating a 1000+ page website that is going to beat the competition hands down. Time could be spent more wisely I believe with less risk involved.

It's a great idea but I would rather build one or two websites that is broken down into major categories and from there it will link to the other pages as it might become a problem with Google Adsense since it may be perceived as MBA sites.

    Just my 2 cents,

Well, it's gonna be a bit risky, google will notice that you have 1000 websites that earn little money and it may hate that.

I have a better idea, create only 100 niche website that could make 5$ per day:
    5*100 = 500$ That's $500 per day
    500*30 = 15,000$ per month
15.000*12 = 180,000$ per year the double of what you want to earn :D

I'd second what JulieV said. I'd rather have 1 to 3 great sites and put a good effort advertising them 5 -10 hours every day (since that's how much time it would take to sustain 1000 websites, daily). That can lead to an enormous amount of quality traffic.

Worth a try. I did something similar in the past. I rolled out over 2000 pages within the same domain name. Each page is almost the same but with different keywords and some dynamic content that will change automatically. Those pages are still in Google index, and bringing about 50-100 visitors everyday (in total). I used those pages to build my list, not selling anything, purely list building. Conversion rate is bad, since I did not really tweak them anymore. Too many, hard to manage. I just left them there.

    Hope this helps.

Interesting and well thought out. I checked the Askabby site that you created. Definitely MFA but very intelligent. You've managed to solve one great problem for many adsense publishers and that is ; churning out more sites fast.

The only pitfall I can see for now is the lack of content substance. The articles look like one or a few paragraphs at most. The sites would gain Google's attention more if the articles were at least 400 words each (and unique off course)

i dont think this is a good idea - I had this imaginary road 10 yrs ago and this is all i have done - http://www.vncentral.com/network and now i am trying to sell it to get my money back.
FYI: I spent more than $150k for this project and not $3000 year like you said.

just think of this....they will let you host 1000 websites in 1 server? hahahaha

i have 100 sites and i need at least 4 dedicated servers and they're still slow. Once your sites slow search engines wont pick up your keyword e.tc....

man just think about it my head spinning man.. I quit!!!!

Your plan is risky especially the money and effort involved in creating that websites. We all know that Google Adsense is very strict on their policies (even the big boys there got banned becuase of these strict policies).. It's hard to monitor what much of website. What if one of that website's google adsense sabotage by some hackers? and google ban your account? All of that website will be affected. Your money and effort will be put to waste.

Are you going to host 1000 mini websites on same server? Then I'm damm sure you will come up with nothing!

If you host 1000 adult sites IMO then you can play in thousands $$$$, be smart this world is no more truthful you have to play blind and double here.

As irule suggested you will get banned although you haven't done anything because Adsense also follows their hidden policies.

its possible but chances exist that you will get drained - especially when you are not making anything from adsense for the first few months - self motivation is the only thing that you might require. Are you making some money already or just starting out??

Google pretty much ignores legal notice, privacy policy etc pages, so if your site has 1-2 pages, that's not good in the first place. Less pages less opportunities to target more keywords. But the main problem in this idea is a back links. If all of your sites are on the same ip you can link your sites between each other in any way you want but google will just ignore those links. That means that you site will be on the VERY bottom of SERPS if at all.

BUT! Having more sites is what I was thinking about myself :) Without automation it can not be done but there are tools out there. If you search this forum you will find ways to create 1000 autoblogs that will be updating on autopilot, every day. That means many pages and more chances to get a click.
Actually I'm thinking to try that out myself.
But right now I'm busy with another, but similar project. My friend programmer wrote me a script that builds about 1300 pages site, content - unique for main page, but for all others I was using spinning software, plus each page has rss syndicated content related to the each page keyword.
The difference between your idea and mine is that I've added my sites into 3waylink network so I'm gonna get 250 backlinks to each site and that what can (and most likely will) make my idea work.
In fact I'm almost done with finishing this project and will post my results on blog in my sig.
But after that I'll come back to idea about 1000 autoblogs. Even IF adsense wont bring any money on those blogs you can use them for backlink building for your other sites. Plus I already found a way to make it profitable by just selling links on them.

The question I have, where do you get $3 a year for .info domains? I use 1and1 hosting and get an .info domain for 0.99 for the first year but then it's 8.99 :( $3 a year is more reasonable.
And last thought about .info domains. I was afraid to use them too, but apparently you can rank .info domain as good as .com! One of my 50 sites that I'm working on right now is ranking #1 for one of keywords ;)

In writing it sounds great, but I don't think it would be possible to implement it by hand. I guess there's automated software and such...I'd say your focus should be a little more narrow, worry about making a couple quality sites.

Well this idea works. A friend of mine have a team of 10 people and they launch 2 Blogs every week.

    Team Division

    3 Optimizers
    3 Content Writers
3 to manage blogs and pu content

They own 250+ blogs and earning .50 cent to 7$ from each blog and making lots of money :)

Its a good theory, but I would agree that making a couple of very powerful sites will pay off better in the long run, and alot less work in the start up stages, and more work in the marketing stages.

if you make those 1000 websites and host them, no one come to your websites. you have to do SEO, find backlinks post forum posts, for 1000 sites!!! can you even remember the 1000 domains?? you will die. i think the best thing is make up to 10 website
