Yesterday I got an unsolicited email from the online media director for a major auto manufacturer wanting to meet me and inform me he is going to be placing my sites link on their private journalists blog (the blog is not on the manufacturers site, but on a completely independant website they have set up to convey with journalists... kinda weird, but whatever) anyways, the site they will put me on has zero PR, is a secure connection and you cannot visit without logging in via the https: of the url, so will this in anyway benefit me via the SE's???
If the link cannot be spidered by the SE bots, it will have no benefit for SERPS - of course you may get some traffic from authorized users.
It's where they put stuff that is still under embargo, but that gives us access to the information and pictures so we can get our stories and articles ready so that once embargo is over, the stories can be made public immediatly. We can also sign up for vehicles from the press fleet, etc.
uhh, no, the first poster is right I guess. That site never goes public.. just the photo's and press releases the put up for us does... once we post our details online/magazine along with the photo's and details once embargo is over.
oh, no..sorry if I wasn't clear. Im getting going to be in one of their articles, just him linking to my website for somereason (he wasn't specific, but I suspect it has something to do with me informing him that the a concept was not being received well as the potential next gen of one of their biggest hits. (or so my readers think) But no, not in an article.
