    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

Will this be a problem?

I have a very small site, as if a game site and a baby with a blog.
Anyway, my return visitors will be the same people on a regular basis, especially for the forum I created. If the same people clicked on ads on a regular basis, but not going overboard, will that be a problem? I can't control their clicks.

IMO, it could be a problem if the same people keep clicking your ads.

I'm new to Adsense. Why would this be a problem?

I read a post on this board a while ago. The guy has a site for his local people in a small town. Google canceled his account for invalid clicks. The possible reason was that all his clicks were from small group of people and Google didn't like that.

Also, how does Google know that it's the same people? If your IP address isn't static, how do they make the connection that the people are the same?

I think it all depends on the number of clicks too. I know that when I visit sites on a regular basis, I don't always click on their ads a bunch of times.

might be best to ask them?

The best sollution would be to not show adsense ads at all.

Better safe than sorry. So, just send them a quick note repeating what you just said here, and let them know that this situation could occur.

But I agree with wendydettmer. Usually frequent visitors of a site don't click on the ads very often, especially on a SMALL site, as most of the ads are always going to be the same, and even tough they might click on an ad once or twice, it's very unlikely that they will keep on clicking on the same ad, unless it's done intentionally, in which case, of course, you do have to worry about GG noticing it.

There are lots of companies out there that have a static IP address and all their employees "appear to be" surfing using the same IP address. If you promote your website to a small group of people that includes some company with 20 employees (Say) and they all decide to have a look at your website on the same day ...... it won't be long before Google closes your account.

How much money does he make/day off adsense? 57 cents or something? I dont think he has much to lose by removing his adsense code.
