I'm currently working on getting my Diet Debate website into the search engines (specifically Google) for the search term 'diet reviews' - i've already managed (with little backlinking) to achieve a page 2 listing for 'uk diet reviews'. What i need to know is how much of an impact my link building anchor text will have as, when submitting to directories, to conform to the submission guidelines my TITLE text is 'Diet Debate - UK Diet Reviews'. Will this anchor text enable me to improve my ranking for the search term 'diet reviews' or will i need to generate more specific backlinks with just the anchor text 'diet reviews'? Your suggestions please.
Anchor text will help you to improve your rankings and you can do one more thing write article on diet debate and published them in Good article sites so that you site will be ranking hiogher on this leyword.............
I always use a variety of anchor texts to make it look natural. Concentrate on getting trusted natural links and the rankings will come. Google has a filter to lower the rankings of sites that target one term too heavily.
Thanks for the info, i wasn't aware of that bit, although i was aware its good practice to vary the anchor text.
I am not pretty sure about google filtering one keyword linking. One of my sites achieved #3 position on a term with 50milion other results. I was linking my site only for this term at that moment. Now ofcourse I diversified my anchors and it ranks on other terms aswell.
