Will there be a day when we start to boycott Google due to massive deindexing without valid reasons and saga on link buying/selling (which many sites rely on for revenue)? What's next? Why don't they just hide the PR from public so that half the buying/selling problems can be resolved? What would happen if everyone block off GoogleBot (although unlikely)?
Not going to happen because their have been too many success stories like myself because of Google......Now if they do ever de index my site it would of been probably because of something I did.... People wonder "why has my site lost all of it's PR, why has my site dropped out of Google" Well most likely their is a reason like quit selling damn links, quit doing shady shit and most of all quit freakin whining about it because it is probably something you did, not Google selecting you out of millions because they don't like you.... Ex: one site that was posted in a thread here wondered why is my "all white hat" blog his words, has lost page rank and wasn't getting any more visitors from Google to his site....At first look it tells it all, paid posts without nofollow tag....his fault, he thought Google was picking on him...
well I hope google is boycotted one day.. it''s turning to big brotherish for me..there is a thread on dp about google earth and explosives.. ..well tonight on news there was a body discovered in victoria..google earth is evidently going to help police catch the killer... so..we are been told google earth doesnt invade privacy..and yet it does..hmm..I don't trust google.
I don't think it will ever happen.. unless they do something so controvertial that people will be up and arms about it.
People seem to quickly forget there is a lot more people in the world than those a dp. The vast majority of them love Google which is why it is the most popular search engine. I don't think your one person boycott will matter much to them.
Everyone who did it would stop getting traffic and your competition would be very happy. Google is not hard to rank for... Why don't you like them?
Google may have angered a lot of webmasters but just to be fair, they are still much better than Yahoo, and miles ahead of MSN, in terms of search quality and openness/fairness to webmasters. Does anyone even have a clue of what MSN is doing? I'd rather live by Google's rules, as long as they make sense, than stand a horrible search engine like MSN.
