    Is the score of the websites in wikia the open source part?

    I have not studied them yet but it seems interesting. But I just wonder it will just let the blackhat people dominate the search results.

    I would say, google search engine it self is infested with black hats who serp and stuff so saying black hats will kill Wikia is stupid.

    What would make this search engine better then google is that its edited by humans not robots who count every backlink and keyword.

    We'll have to let time pass and see where it all goes..

    Though i believe the magic of an opensource community will give wikia a push and let it be known and used my masses. Even if it can't be the next google killer it will surely make google cover its back..

    if not.. then why is it that google wants to work heavily on its own encyclopedia to be able to compete with wikipedia?

    I tried a couple search term and i have never seen worse results as on wikia. The results are absolutely irrelevant.
    Comparing with any major search engines is scandalous.

    I don't think it will take over google but surely it will have quite a amount of students that might find it better than google, mostly from wikipedia, as wikipedia has proven to them that it has reliable information.
