Well that's not right. I think you mean the country that waited 3 long years, allowing Hitler and his allies to overtake country after country before realising they would have been next and would be 'speaking German' too so had no real choice but to join in with its allies (whilst they were still allies and not speaking German) or suffer as Hitler took over every other country there was including the USA. I don't think you 'saved' us from that option but I agree and appreciate you Americans helping us all out, including themselves. Nothin against the USA, just get facts right, we owe you nothin, it was a win from the Allies, not solely Americans.

That is a rather odd response to "People forget it was the American solider that took Hitler and Japan head on, or else everybody would be speaking German right now...". Does your response in any way change the factual nature of the above quote? Does the above quote in any way imply that any country owes us anything, other than enough respect to not call us war criminals?

Your statement makes it sound like the US takes to long to get involved in foreign conflicts. Perhaps you are a big fan of the policy of US preemption? I doubt it. I've read your posts and you would be the guy protesting US involvement in any foreign conflict. You'd be the one calling us baby killers trying to get the war to stop.

We had no need to get involved in the conflict against Germany, and what we did was a lot more than just "help you out" like you somehow or other had it handled on your own. You are either completely ignorant of the facts, or you are willing to lie about them to try and score political points. It is a rather bitter irony that thousands of Americans died marching into machine gun fire on the beaches of Normandy and the South Pacific, so that you could deny their deaths had much of an impact on the war. I believe you are Australian, a country I have a great deal of respect for, but wherever it is that you hail from, you are disgrace to it's flag.

Actually this is not to target America, its to target Muslims, when these reports become public it will rise anger and frustration against America, so more bad events, more suicides and much more killings. This is just to add more fuel to the fire. Which will enable America to do more bombings, more killings of the innocent people. They don't want a calm and peaceful middle east yet. As more chaos spreads, more chances of war on Iran build up. War on Iran will be the starting point of WWIII.

If you have a little sense in your brain, I am sure you will reach to this conclusion. Even if your IQ is 50.

Ah so nobody told you that, pink unicorn or otherwise. You are saying a person with the IQ of 50 will come to this conclusion. On this, I think we agree. Now how about someone with an IQ of 100 with an education. Will they come to this conclusion as well?

You spoke for yourself that your IQ is below 50.
Get some education kid, there is more in life than just to do browsing on internet and posting on forums.

I took that as a 'you owe us' yes. And I know we don't owe you a thing for that yes.

The fact that you were attacked by Japan so had no choice with them and we died killing them for you?

Correct on doubting the need for, or backing, this war for oil. As to the rest I didn't say that, never went there once but now you mention it are you implying the allies (including Australia) haven't done just that?

I never said we had it handled although i'm aware that 'right' always wins in the end. Do you think you joined because they were attacking England or because the US was next?

Not ignorant at all and here you must admit you just made all that stuff up yourself, as I never said any of that. In fact i'm very, very learned on the subject of WWII and know exactly how it went down. When reading my comments, you might also notice I only comment on stuff I actually know about.

Australia, correct. Disgrace to one's flag...lol.

Of course you do, and I stated what it is. Respect. The same reason Australia gets respect for being one of the biggest supporters of the US in our conflicts in the middle east. It is respect for stepping up with blood and treasure when your own ass is not on the line.

Sweet oil contracts we got, aren't they?

LMAO. Tell that to the people of N. Korea. Tell that to the people of Tibet. Tell that to the people of Kuwait.... oh, thats right... 'Right' had a little help from the US armed forces. Just click your heels three times and say, 'Theres no place like home' Dorthy.

Do you really think Nazi Germany could wage an effective war across the Atlantic against an industrial powerhouse like the US? Figure that out, and you'll have answered your own question. There is always some measure of self interest in any action taken by a nation, if nothing more than hoping your allies would do the same for you if you were attacked. That somehow translates to greed in your book. Its stupid at best and intellectually dishonest at worst. If you really think that way, I doubt you have any real friends.

Terrific. So you aren't uneducated, just dishonest. That is apparently a badge of honor with the left these days.

    Your statements speak for themselves.

Cut down the hypocrisy. You were the ones who sometime back made the claim that Republicans did the right thing by attacking Iraq as US will earn (or rather save) trillions if new US-Loyal (puppet) government stabling (creates a glut) the oil market/price. I guess your arguments (or your facts) depend on who you are arguing for, whether your country or your party.

Charging that we invaded Iraq to have another western friendly nation on OPEC is a completely different than claiming we invaded Iraq for oil contracts and to plunder resources. Even then, the argument remains as to whether the result is a nice side effect rather than the root cause. I would never argue that it wasn't a contributing factor, as President Carter himself would tell you.

You're just putting words into my mouth, stuff I've never said or thought. I never had a problem with previous wars, we were getting attacked, or would of been in the line of conquests i'm sure. I agree 'mutual' respect is deserved by everybody so where you pull that from I wonder. The only attack we got was the Japs retaliating once we took sides helping you guys but hey, like I said, I believe previous wars were necessary, to a point. But this war for oil has just created worldwide havoc and once you go thru the facts it boils down to being wrong on every level. This war on 'terror', fuck, no end in sight, that's a disgrace to our flags.

    http://www.counterpunch.org/weissman09192007.html
Alan Greenspan had acknowledged what is blindingly obvious to those who live in the reality-based world: The Iraq War was largely about oil. Meanwhile, Henry Kissinger says in an op-ed in Sunday's Washington Post that control over oil is the key issue that should determine whether the U.S. undertakes military action against Iran.

    **EDIT/ADD
What makes you think it's the end for them even now? It may only be chapter 6 of a 12 chapter story. Everything changes for the better because people learn from their mistakes. People want to better themselves and they do every day.

We've let the corporations take over the world at the moment so we're being driven by their agendas but even that has to end as each buys up the other culminating into the final one 'big brother'. When that happens of course that will be stopped (unless it's better) but I do believe that ALL future is with real democracy and in the end that has to win because it's best and I don't think we need a war to enforce it upon others. Over time, as more people see what democracy achieves, they will ALL come to that decision themselves. we have no right to hurry them up.

I would if I thought it would help. :)

I'm not sure who you are agreeing with, because I never said "mutual" respect is deserved. Respect is something that is earned. And it is only mutual when it is deserved mutually. When the US rolled it's youth onto the shores of Normandy, it earned worldwide respect, aside from people like you who feel you don't owe the US anything, including respect.

    A racist liberal? Really?

Quit fighting then... oh wait.. you don't speak for your country.. thank god!

Right. So you are saying we should have stayed out of the European theatre in WWII and things would have sorted themselves out. Kuwait, same story. They got it handled, and "Right" will always win out, in a few centuries.

Could you be any more off topic.

My money says you are wearing a skirt right now.

I see you're just showing your arrogance and being swarmy because you can but your last line made me ROFL so i'm quitting this argument for today (3:47am here). But I will continue to post MY opinion when I feel like (and because fools like you support violence for my continued right to do it).

And i'm Greens, not Liberal, the Libs are too far right for me (and led us into the unjust war so we kicked them out).
