Will the Iraq wikileaks prove claims of warcrimes?

I haven't read the documents nor am I going to - I have a life.

Now, do you think the documents expose acts that may embarrass US and lead people to question their armies conduct? If yes, then quit defending the condoners of such acts. If no, then why the whining about how evil wikileaks is and how they should be put in front of a firing squad? (3 people already in this thread)?

What d you think about this very simple thing:

I think Julian Assange is doing a great service to mankid :)

I don't think anyone's whining about the documents being released. The reality is there are people expecting the documents to reveal war crimes and atrocities when in fact a great many of them (from what I have read) lay credence to the contention that there were WMD's in Iraq as late as 2004.

I think what Obamanation was saying to you Helveti was that he'd appreciate it if you'd stop drinking the koolaid and presenting hearsay - or at the very least show us where you've read about these "war crimes" and other atrocities or evils that various left leaning news outlets say exists.

I think he was kindly asking you to site a source. You've just made us aware that you do not have one, so to that end, there's really not much for you to say either way on the subject. You've got "a life" remember?

After we all have agreed on whether this: (concealing civilian causalities and lying repeatedly in the face of the world)

is right or wrong, we can move ahead to more pressing issues..

There are always going to be two different perspectives to every point. The US may count 15,000 civilian casualties as enemy combatants, while someone else calls them civilians.

I'd really not read that much into this without having actually reviewed all the facts. You've already expressed that you do not have the time or desire to do so, so I'd just kinda leave it at that. ;)

Can we talk about witches:D? Preferably sex crazed scantily clad witches.

It appears the lie presented by the US govt. from the above quote is that they did not keep such figures when they actually did. Again, not exactly scandalous information. The fact the US Military estimates came out higher than other estimates of civilian casualties is neither here nor there. They didn't disclose, so they didn't have to lie about the number. Any news, good or bad, from the battlefield, will be made into political hay by opponents in and of the conflict.

    Again, war crimes?

Thanks for leaving me this ignorant comment, the least you can do is have some decency leave your name when you leave a rep, instead of leaving a cowardly comment with no name... If you can't handle a debate, then stay the hell off the thread... No need to resort to leaving some kiddy @$# message ;)

Sounds like the work of Helvetii he/she has no substance to his/her comments. Her proof is he/she has "a life" even though he/she has 3 and a half thousand post's in a year... The only thing that needs to be named is what country are you from? some terrorist state? I guess we will never know since you seem to ignore that question...

Unless you're bacteria multiplying every 20 mins then you're just 1 kid . And radiation and radioactivity are two different things . For the matter of fact you could almost use depleted uranium as building material and it still won't pose any danger due to radioactivity . Hell , many types of Uranium can be keep as room ornaments . I wish people would read a bit before going to the net and yelping : OMFG BBQ URanium We'RE DOOMED etc. etc.

Now, do you think the documents expose acts that may embarrass US and lead people to question their armies conduct?
Do you agree with your friends demand for wikileaks staff being put in front of a firing squad?
Do you agree with the arrest of former army officer for leaking the video of American choppers killing Iraqis?
Do you support US government actions of forcing foreign governments to press false charges to curb freedom of speech?
What is your opinion on witches?

EVERYONE here knows where I'm from and I'd repeat it for you if it was relevant to the topic. Regarding your rep, I always leave my name on reps just like the one I'll leave you immediately after writing this post (incase you don't know it takes several days before one can rep a guy again so...)

There are a few small items, but nothing consequential that I've seen. For instance, it seems they got caught lying about whether or not they tracked civilian deaths.

Absolutely not. He'd be better off dying in his sleep of a simulated heart attack induced by the CIA.

Absolutely. That guy committed treason. Furthermore, I'm against prosecuting the chopper pilot.

If you could prove such allegations, I would absolutely not support them in public!

Witches are hot! They make me horny. Did you hear Cleavland brought in two professional witches to curse LeBron James?

Then why do you want CIA to kill him in his sleep?

Don't worry there's already a public "insurance" file which qualified over-paid US techies at pentagon haven't been able to crack yet. ;)

Can you elaborate why you think his act amounts to treason? Why according to you should the government and the army have the privilege to classify a video of them murdering civilians/terrorists/TV reporters and arrest and harass anyone who brings it into public domain where it rightfully belongs?

The only reason I think they'd want to hide it was because they agree that it was wrong, barbaric and embarrassing. Agreed?

    Are you trolling me?

I would rather say you should live in Iraq where people are killed for no reason.

People there are suffering lots of brutalities by army for the only reason they are born in that place.

Think they are also humans. they are not slaves. Think from their shoes. People are suffering from brutalities for sake of nothing.. Only with this kind of releases people came to know the truth

In the history of man, Millions upon millions of people have died because of war. It's not pretty, nobody condones it, but if there is going to be a war, then this is always going to happen.

Unless we can live in a peaceful world, which is impossible with the Middle East being more unstable than a neg/pos atom, there will always be innocent people dying.. There is not a single country in this world that has not spilled innocent blood, so to trash on country over it is to be a hypocrite... Unless you live in the garden of eden, your country has killed plenty of innocent people... Also if you are going to criticize one country, You should post the country you are from, so we can see how innocent your country is... Don't criticize one country when you live in a country that kills innocent people every single day, so I think its only fair you post your country also..

All I see here is anti America comments, but nobody willing to share what country they live in...

Since many have shed the lifes before , you want people to shed their lifes for some greedy things of others?.. Simple if you are in their position , will you shed your blooed? You are thinking from nations perspective. But think of the innocent children who lost their lifes for no reason. they lost their hands, eyes . suffering without any food. They dont know what will happen to them...

Instead of showing nationality , showing humanity on other living will lead to peaceful lifes.

There are many innocent people killed every day in every country you go. But mass killing and clean the race of the country is happening now. That is why people are trying to pour the comments. Think from their shoes. They dont have any media to show the killings and horrible things happening to them in their daily life.

This is best people can do to reduce their sufferings

It's not if it makes me happy, it's that India is such a great role model when it comes to human rights...Gotta love the hypocrisy in this thread.

Again you are not understand the point man.. Every one is not defending for the country , whether it is "US" or "UK" or "Australia" or India or pakistan.

Where ever people are killed for no reason , they should understand they dont have rights to do it..

Every life in earth is unique and has rights to live in this world.. No one should enforce the force on others for their greedy reason.. Hoping you will understand now

I see what you mean, but first it must start in one's own country, before you can preach it to another... In the world of violating human rights, nobody wins, and no country is immune..

Oh please make no mistake, America has a lot of good people. Its the scum of your lot that I'm against.

I understand that many soldiers become outlaws and do some totally inhuman things in wars, its normal as long as they are punished rather than have their acts defended and condoned. What we all are against is:

    1) Warcrime happening
    2) It gets classified
    3) Soldiers get away and probably get a medal too
    4) Government and army lie blatantly to the world
    5) When someone exposes their lies, they are arrested, harassed, tortured, blackmailed, made to defend themselves against false charges, forced to leave their family and home and seek asylum.
    6) Morons such as yourself who passionately support ^^ such atrocities.

And I'm not surprised that you had to do a quick google search on "Human rights abuse India" because you found your own position indefensible. Did you even do your research or think about what relevance that has to this thread or just posted the first video you found. Atleast the video wasn't classified, the one who posted it on youtube arrested and tortured if you do your research you'll know that the policeman is out of job too.

You may think you are being a big patriot here but you are only embarrassing your country further, you have no respect for human rights and freedom of speech of those who you don't identify it. Fucking Abomination. People like you make me sick to the stomach. Do your country a favor and shove your head down a toilet and keep it that way and press the flush.
