Will the "Google +1 Like" thing affect SERP?

i don't think so plus1 button effect serp because black hat guys easily can cheat it with manual scams to make people favorite their site or hackers who can do all the work hiddenly ... lol

 

I don’t think Google + 1 will have a significant impact on the SERP. Though it will be used as one of the factor to determine ranking (this is what Google says may be to force the webmaster to use it) But the Google + 1 is more like Facebook and if the +1 is given more importance in SERP’s, Google will not be a search engine. Moreover I think Google +1 can never compete with Facebook.

Spot on! It doesn't have a chance in my view. Facebook also just has too many things that Google+ doesn't, not to mention that even if Google+ was a huge sucesss, I find it very hard to see people swtiching over.

 

Sounds like its going to be otherwise why would they put it there.

I agree with oliva,Now google wants its own quality mechanism to decide page authority .I think its surely effect of SERP in the near future.

 

I'm sure that the Google +1 will affect SERP, just look at you Google Webmaster.

 

"Google +1" is directly approach to Google Crawler, so if your site get more +1'd then crawler gives wait to your site and consider for SERP.

 

It will not affect in the SERP.

 

It'll certainly be interesting to see whether it does effect it. +1 is always something I've over looked. Perhaps that was a mistake.

 

i was also thinking that, this is same as FB like, this will not effect for ranking.

 

I think google copying from facebook like system and also wikipedia love system , anyway it will work out , i think.

i am also thinking that, this is new by google and instead of more quality backlinks, +1 by google will be another way to increase ranking. More +1 make an impression like no of people like it and it's good resource. so there may be chances in future for ranking on based of +1.

 

It's still early days, but if it's anything as popular as Facebook likes, (which is what it's based on), it will encourage webmasters to build more human friendly sites than simply trying to thwart the efforts of the search engine algorithms

 

Eventually it will, maybe not in general, but in kind of 'personalization of results'. I mean, Your friend added sth in G+ that You might like so it will be higher in rankings when You are logged in. But for now they are just running tests.

 

So, anyone noticed any impact on SEPRs with their +1 games?

 

Just like facebook.. but not hurt to add one in your site maybe in future?

 

I've seen a lot of guys buying these, but I suppose google will cath you immediately if you get hundreds out of a sudden for a short time.
