For rating the content the Google +1 is surely going to be a measurement element for the Google.. if the content is +1 by the users then its surely going to up in the search engine rankings.... thus it will affect the SEO !

Yes, every SEO master do believe that it will one of the consideration point in SERP in the future. Google will not create something that do not use much . So everyone do said that it will help in SERP. So it better for us to start now and focus on it.

Yes, Google will use it in future to determine SERP rank. So, I am planning to implement it in our blogs/site.
But before doing this, I would like to know whether it will affect page loading time.

It is good for two purpose according to me....

    1) There are high chance for it to be used in determining SERP
    2) "Like" button is blocked where facebook is blocked. But I don't think +1 is going to be blocked.

There is a new menu item in Google Webmasters Tools called "+1 Metrics" and there you can find a sub-menu item called "Search impact" so I guess that this +1 button will have some weight in SERP. The sooner the better.

The G+ button is not affecting serps at the moment but I'm sure Google is preparing something huge..; they always did it... so, in a couple month they will integrate the +1 button in their algo... and i'm sure it will be as important as title tag in factors influencing serps...

    best,

I think because of backlinks manipulations Google decided to add another measure of the site quality. But it could be easily manipulated also, even easier than backlinks.
