Will the Facebook wave go down in 2012, what other options do we have?? What options do marketers have? Will SEO be the best way to make a site comeup in rankings? Will mobile SEO help?
Maybe it will one day but I don't think it will be in 2012, it's still going too strong. Google+ is FB's biggest threat imo...
I have just read the news a while ago. I was saddened by it. I hope somebody buys Facebook from Mark. I mean, it's too precious to die. I still want to have connections with my friends abroad. I just don't think life will be the same without Facebook. Social media will not be the same again.
Face Book always remain a great part of SEO. and of course it will not gone so soon. why are you telling this? because of some hacker thread Face book about this matter right ?
I don't think Facebook will last forever, but it would not go down as soon as 2012. Google+ might be the next best thing but still far from Facebook.
It is almost impossible for Facebook to go down in 2012. It is too big now given the user base it has. Google is very good in terms of taking users away from others, for example, gmail/gtalk from yahoo/msn. Time will tell how Google+ does it over Facebook.
facebook will adapt.. it will 2015 before a down turn.. it's a generational thing.. When tablets become dominate, we will see new trends..
Facebook will continue to grow far beyond 2012. They've actually done really well not fucking up the design like Bebo and Myspace did over the years.
