Will submitting to a blog network (to get 1000 backlinks) be bad or good?

I have had several offers to have a blog post made on over 200 blogs, on loads of different IPs, so it gets me over 800 targetted backlinks.

The problem i have is, these a general blog, used for paid posts only.

Therefore i'm worried that becuase my article will go on a site with "alcohol rehad" and "depression" and all sorts of other backlinks, will it be worth it.

I want to gain all these backlinks from unique content to target higher SE rankings.

I have already submitted to a lot of paid web directories, and spent over $4000 on other link development.

I need to know if all these backlinks from general blogs will do any good? After all its only for $6. Surely its worth it, even if my site only jumps up a little in the SERPs?

I done it few times(different network) but they were general blogs. I also done the ViralTag, ViraLink. Now, I'm waiting what effect it will have on my PR. It did help with my Technorati rating very much. ;)

    I stopped for now.

i don't think they make any effect so quickly because google bot does not visit every blog every day.. and without any visit your link can not be discovered...

And the second bad fact is that, if you are publishing one post on 100 blogs.. you'll get a link from 1 blog and other 99 will go as supplemental results...

however purchase indivisual blogpost offers from buy/sell section.. its good

It can help with technorati ranking, I would only consider such posts to increase technorati rank as I think google disregards these network as splogs

    Hi,

I did it to, and after checking the backlinks I discover that some blogs (4-5/120) of the network where indexed. My opinion is to do it a Friday afternoon so you get like 3-4 days of expousure in the first page with PR, after the time pass your post will be burried.

I made a large scale test of this and found no real benefit.

It might be worth buying for blogs though as it will help with technocrati rating etc.

The links would mostly be useless if they are not unique content, because they will be caught by googles duplicate content filters. And other thing is to delay the posting out if possible, because it looks unnatural if you receive 500-600 links all at once one ONE day, especially if you site is relatively new.
If you can get these two options from a blog network, then it is definetly worth it... otherwise you are just paying for spam :)

I got one from frankcow and the article was spun to make it unique, and it was only published on related blogs on the network.

It helped alot, the primary article on my site it linked to ranks top 5 for all search terms related to it. And a search for my domain shows that said second as a double listing which is odd as the site has some really strong pages.

The best time to submit it is the last day of the month. Why.. Well when its archived it will go under say July and will be at the top of the July archive page. ;)

Yeah i know :) Made that mistake before. Thats only if you do paid posting. Doesnt matter with blog networks, they have no PR anyway.
