Hello, everyone.I sold a site here via pm not long ago.the site was http://www.template2.net.I told the guy when he bought it,he would have to move the site with the database to his server.he said ok.but now he is sending me messages such as this

This is very important. I have bought lots of web sites, everyone sends the files via a zip file. You need to do this, currently I have no web site. I have paid for zero.

Please attend to this matter asap.[/QUOTE]

So,how do i zip up 3 DATABASES,and email them to him?

If it's MySQL then use PHPMyAdmin or native command line functions to export to CSV. Then zip them up and email them. Other DBs should have similar functionality.

Yup. Just export the SQL databases in phpMyAdmin and mail the zips to him. phpMyAdmin will automatically create a zip file for you.

Yet another reason to sing the praises of CPanel. If you have CPanel templates, you should be able to do a full backup of the site (or have your administrator do it.) This will include the log files for the site, as well as any databases. It'll all zip up nice and neat for you, and can be easily sent to the fella. Just make sure you don't accidently leave anything important in the email box, because that will get zipped up and sent as well.

Hi guys, I'm the buyer in question.

I buy a web site, I expect the files to be sent to me. I did not make an agreement to do this myself. Why would I? I paid $350 for a web site, to me that's a reasonable amount of money, I paid quickly and without any fuss. In return, I expect the full web site with files to be sent to me.

I would not wish to embarrass the seller by posting our private email exchange as he has done with mine above. However, I think many on this board would be surprised with how the seller has conducted himself throughout this deal. Selling a web site should be reasonably straight forward, unfortunately this deal has somehow descended into a farce.

My objective is simple - To receive what I paid for. Is that too much to ask?

In these situations, I'm glad that Paypal has buyer protection.

OK, I can't do anymore than I have done.

I will claim this through Paypal. You need to send me the files.

Other buyers beware of this seller.

I choose not to converse with you via a public forum. It always becomes a case of who can shout loudest, which I'm sure will be you.

I've made my claim. I will await the outcome of this. There's nothing more constructive I can add. I believe other posters have suggested how you can send me the files, why not get on with this?

You've written many inaccuracies. You know in your heart that you have, rather than put right your wrongs you're attacking me. The guy you sold something to but did not deliver.... I suggest you check your records again.

Tell the dumbass to login to cPanel and get the backups, takes 26 seconds.

If you take a live copy you will also get the most current version of the site, stats and email. Stop being a baby and do the work.

Well the alternative is - I paid for site and got nothing, surely that is fraud and thankfully Paypal protect us against it.

By the way, no login details have been changed. This is complete rubbish.

Send the files, the Paypal chargeback goes away. I'm not a crook, I just want what I paid for.

Please don't make out you're the victim here.

You have what you paid for, stop bitching like a little girl with a skinned knee. Will take you all of one minute to log in and get the files. You bought the site, it is now your responsibility.

Prove to use you aren't a idoit and do the work yourself.

HINT: if you know the servername or IP, just use that and /cpanel as the url, then login using the account username and password.
then go do cpanel backups and get the home directory backup and the databases.

    Good luck.
