Red Bulls signed Thierry Henry and Rafael Marquez, I think if younger bigger names do come to the US, and show that soccer can be exciting, then it will get big. No offense to the players playing right now in the MLS, but they just aren't as exciting as the European players
I don't understand that American ppl say that soccer is boring and that they love baseball. Come on.. gimme a break.. Baseball more exciting then Soccer? No way!
Basketball is always being popular to American people, football just pieces of sport in America, not like U.K the most popular sport is football.
as you can see that players age more than 30 are going there and to be the best football league you need all sorts of players there...
It will get more popular but it won't be that big. Not many top class players will go to America to play football unless their about to retire.
If you grow up with soccer and nothing else than soccer is great. If you grow up with real options, soccer doesn't fair so well. North America has its big four sports with football, basketball, baseball and hockey. The next major sport should be soccer with the world and sporting goods manufacturers pushing it but Lacrosse with little push is spreading fast and has an indoor and outdoor major leagues that quietly rival MLS. A corollary question could be why does the world resist the football that is not referred to as soccer? Basketball, baseball, volleyball, hockey (not field), and extreme sports have all been tried and embraced in many countries but football has had limited international success. Part of the problem may be that it is more complex and it is thought to require expensive equipment that is too costly under socialism and dictatorships. Part of the problem is that their are so many variants of games called football.

i think tht everything is possible))) not now, but sooner or later i suppose it will finally happen... soccer is so famous all over the world that usa can not be kinds exeption forever...
