No one in the world can tell you this I guess, not even MSN or Yahoo top executives, you will need to have the patience and wait and see.

I guess we need to wait until the deal goes through, as there are lots of questions related to this, like

will only management change? or yahoo will be closed?
will the search engines remain separate or will be merged in one?
will msn take all yahoo business or some?
the list of this can go on and on...........

so we need to wait and see dude, to see effects of this on ground level (i.e. for eg. 'serps' as you are asking) will take a lot of time and no one in can tell you that at the moment not even yahoo and msn...:)

Although no one can predict if this will happen, I don't think there will be any changes.

    Both will stay different.

Otherwise MSN will attract a whole lot of criticism from webmasters who are now ranking poor, and previosuly ranked well in yahoo.

    Etc etc.

I really don´t know...but i hope it changes cause i do not get any traffic from MSN or YAHOO....
But really, i imagine they should have a exchanging policy between those companies. (if in fact will be just one)
