Will searching for a website address in Google automatically submit that website?

I'm in the process of creating a new website and haven't submitted it to Google yet. I just checked Google and for some odd reason my website comes up in the search results. The only thing I did was search for my url to see if it had any pass backlinks. Does searching for a web address that isn't already submitted to Google, trigger their system to crawl that website? I have a Google sitemap setup for my site but haven't submitted that to Webmaster Tools.

Google crawls and indexes sites from various sources so its not that you will have to submit a new site everytime to Google so that it gets indexed. It is sometimes done automatically. :)

How long does it take after you create your website and for you to realize that it has already appears in their index? If it's already a week, then it could be possible that the crawlers will come and index your site automatically without you yourself submitting the url.

The answer is NO! If you search for anything in Google - it doesn't mean that your website will be stored in the index. The best way to place some "fat" links pointing to it. Google will index your site very soon.

Apparently google toolbar actually acts as a spy for google.
I have known websites that nobody has ever visited, no backlinks what so ever, and indexed in three days.
Turns our the webmaster was using google toolbar.

Strange i know but there was no other way google could have indexed this website.

The reason I thought this was odd is because I don't have one single backlink to my website.

HI, you don't need to submit your site anywhere in google because their robots automatically crawl the new website but if you think at any point that your site is not been crawled from many days then you should submit in google...

In order for your Website to be found you need at least one site to link to you.

    Nope..
Searching for a website DO NOT submit it for indexing or anything.
If you bought a dropped domain, then theres a chance to have some backlinks or indexed pages.

And how will google know about this new website if it has 0 backlinks? The only way is to submit it to google or create a few backlinks (from digg etc).
