Will PR-increase returns new traffic too?

    Hello,

It seems that >5 of my sites will increase its PR from 0 to 5.

As far as i think, this should increase my visitors coming from Google searches since Google will move my results to higher pages and return results with new keywords!

When i look from this angle, i am expecting to obtain a huge difference in the number of visitors. By the way, my sites are content rich (lots of informative articles on a broad topic) and all inner pages had pagerank zero. When the inner pages start to get PRs, they should return more visitors, right?

So is this evaluation correct? When should i expect to get increases in the number of visitors and in the pageranks of the inner pages if this approach is correct.

The PR itsself will not increase your positions, you need to do something with it, if your PR5 sites do not have keyword rich page title tags, description tags and content then you will not get any positions therefore no traffic to your site. If all of these factors are in place hen with a PR5 site you stand to get good positions and lot's of traffic to your site.

A high PR page will usually rank higher in Google's search results, and better results means more organic traffic to your website.

Yes these factors are mostly in place (i am sure at least for title, url-rewrite and keyword-richness). Then this seems to be a good news.. :) Thanks for the answer.

That's not true, but I know what you're getting at.

The way I see it, if you have a link campaign that includes submitting to many, many directories then PR is important. Why? Because a lot of directories list their links from high PR to low PR. So, therefore, having a high PR will give you a greater chance to be seen by directory visitors.

    Cheers,

You dont get traffic from directories.... Again I say PR has nothing to do with traffic. Get better SERPS for traffic not PR.

I don't think PR is directly related to better rankings, however, I think it does have an affect. For instance, if you are trying to obtain higher pr, higher quality relevant link exchange partners, then having a higher PR yourself will help you do this. Since a lot of sites look at PR for exchanges. Many of these higher quality sites receive a good amount of traffic and a link on that site can help increase traffic to your site. Also, obtaining links on more sites in general helps to increase your link popularity and in return increase your rankings.

I have seen PR1 sites listed on the first page of Google so page rank is not the only deciding factor with getting a top listing .

I'm having PR5 page which gets mostly no traffic at all. So PR is not enough. Good anchor text is gold :>

After my website increased from PR 0 to PR2, I noticed an instant surge in Google search traffic.

May be related between PR and traffic.
