Will our site be blacklisted? help!

    Hello

I am new in a small company and am in charge of the SEO of the website.

We have a main domain name for our web site.
But only things like "contact us" information are hosted under this domain name.

Indeed, each type/category of products has its own domain name.

And everything is cross linked because the products menu appears on all pages of all domain names

Is it a serious problem for the SE? Is there a risk to be blacklisted? If yes, what do I have to do (to put all the content inside the main domain name?)

Thank you so much in advance,

    Laurent

Sounds like the best thing to do... what you describe can be interpreted as a link farm, where a small network of sites are interlinking

    I agree with Fryman . . .

Move each domain's content into a folder OR sub-domain and adjust the navigation to and from each of them.

Then do a 301 redirect of the old domain to the folder OR sub-domain. Leave the rediredct up for several months and then turn off the domains.

That should make it easier for your users and the SEs.

Your current setup is definetly a issue as it would possible appear to be a replicate of a small link farm to a domain and google has penalized people for having 10 or less links on their pages linking to other pages. I strongly suggest that you get everything on the same domain quickly and simple use subfolders or/and subdomains.

Good advice from everyone although I would point out that a few sites of mine have been crosslinking for nearly 3 years and I have never been penalised (7 sites).

Better safe than sorry however, if needs be you could separate them on 1 domain with subdomains so they in themselves are still separate entities.
